In 2019, when my father died from an accidental fall at the age of 90, we found his office and workshops left in a sudden stasis, stilled just as he had left them the few days before. Carefully photographing these objects, became a way into his mind and his quiet and complex intelligence.
The series consists of digital inkjet prints as well as a book publication in which it is paired with the earlier exhibition Remembrance from 1990-92 (currently in the collections of the Art Gallery of Hamilton).
